About This Tool
Protect your PDF documents with industry-standard AES-256 encryption, fully compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and all major PDF viewers. Add password protection to sensitive contracts, financial statements, legal documents, medical records, and confidential business files.
Our free online PDF encryption tool lets you set two types of passwords: a user password required to open the document, and an owner password to control permissions. Restrict printing, copying text, editing content, and extracting pages while maintaining full compatibility with PDF standards.
Unlike cloud-based PDF security services, PDF Pony encrypts your files entirely in your browser. Your confidential documents never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy for sensitive personal information, trade secrets, and proprietary business data. No uploads, no servers, no data retention.
Perfect for protecting tax documents, employee records, client contracts, research papers, and any PDF files containing private information. Works with scanned documents, fillable PDF forms, and digitally signed files. Create password-protected PDFs that open seamlessly in Adobe Reader, Foxit, Chrome, and all standard PDF applications.
