Information We Collect

PDF Pony collects minimal information. We do not collect, store, or process any of your PDF files or document contents — all file processing occurs locally in your browser. Through Google Analytics, we collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, features used, browser type, device type, approximate geographic location (country/region level), and referring websites. We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or contact details unless you voluntarily provide them (e.g., when sending feedback).

How We Use Information

The anonymized analytics data we collect is used solely to understand how visitors use PDF Pony, identify popular tools and features, improve user experience and site performance, diagnose technical issues, and make informed decisions about future development. We do not use this data for profiling, targeted advertising, or any purpose other than improving the service.

Information Sharing

Your PDF files are never stored by us — they exist only in your browser's memory during processing and are discarded when you close the tab or navigate away. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention policies (26 months by default). localStorage data persists on your device until you clear your browser data.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including: the right to access information we hold about you, the right to request deletion of your data, the right to opt out of analytics tracking (via browser settings or extensions), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we collect minimal personal data and your files never leave your device, most privacy concerns are addressed by our architecture itself.
